• Q: What is the settlement about?
  A: This class action lawsuit, Stewart et al. v. Albertsons Companies, Inc., involved allegations that Safeway and its parent company raised up the price of certain meat products during “Buy One, Get One Free” and “Buy One, Get Two Free” (BOGO) promotions in Oregon. The lawsuit was filed in the Circuit Court of the State of Oregon for the County of Multnomah, Case No. 16CV15125. Safeway and Albertsons denied wrongdoing; nonetheless, a settlement was approved on July 25, 2023.
• Q: Who can receive a payment?
  A: You may receive a payment if you purchased select meat products from Oregon Safeway Stores using a Safeway Club Card during qualifying promotions between May 4, 2015 and September 7, 2016. You may qualify if you received a notice or you believe that you qualify.
• Q: What amount was paid in this settlement?
  A: Approximate payment for eligible class members was $200. Those who received notice via mail or email automatically got a payment without filing a claim. The others needed to file a claim by June 16, 2023.
• Q: I missed my claim deadline. Now what?
  All claim deadlines, opt-out and objection dates have closed. The deadline to make claims has passed.
